On January 19th I was able to work on my build for a while, which included completing the wall which will cover the battery pack so it blends into the terrain. I also completed the foundation of the lighthouse, and you can see where it will be by the assembly to drive the lighthouse coming up, which will drive the light.
With bag 5 we transition to building a portion of the first room of the lighthouse. After that jump to building the inn-keepers house, which is quite neat and discovered one of the lights coming up goes to the house to light the fireplace, which is a nice touch.
During Bag 6, I discovered that I made a mistake on the side window, so I had to back track a bit to fix this, as otherwise it didn’t look right to me. Lastly a nice touch is in the featured image you can see the sticker that makes up the phot hanging on the wall. It was inspired by one of Sandro’s private family photo’s on a trip to Gaspesie. In the LEGO version they added Sandro’s mother to complete the family portrait. Very neat!
